  17. This is a result of the host adapter driver (esp) negotiating for the sync.
  18. offset and period with the device (i.e. the DEC drive). Usually this should
  19. only happen once (during probe/attach). Sounds like you may be getting
  20. some intermittent SCSIbus resets or some other data related error condition.

  25. Well, the SCSA driver(s) are handling the conditions pretty well. What you
  26. may want to check (to reduce or eliminate this) is your SCSI termination -
  27. Only 2 - one on the SUN end (thats a given) and one on the last drive
  28. on your SCSIbus. Also make sure TERMPWR is ok - pin 24 should be around 5V.
  29. Last but not least, make sure your cables are as short as possible.
