- Recent notes about sampling audio from CD-ROM's have caught my eye. My lab
- does audio testing, and it would be very useful to computer control a CD
- with the word and syllable sequences on it, to automate the gain settings
- and randomize the sequences. I know that there are structures for
- manipulating audio in the cdromio manpage, but does anyone have some
- freeware or shareware for playing short sounds from the CD drive?
-
- I suspect we'd have to do our own indexing of the specific CD, but it would
- beat the heck out of the cassette tapes we're using for this now.
