  11. HELP!  Our Sun/Seagate 424mb disk from a Sparcstation 2 failed today.
  12. The failure mode indicates physical failure -- the disk spins up for a
  13. second, then clicks and spins back down, or it doesn't spin up at all.
  14. We've swapped it into several machines with the same result, so it's
  15. definitely the disk itself.

  17. Can anyone point me to a hard disk recovery service that has some
  18. chance of repairing the disk -- electronics of physical as necessary
  19. (and if possible) -- and hopefully get me the data back on tape?

  21. A location in the SF Bay Area would be best, but I'm posting this more
  22. widely to drag the net broadly.
