- One should be quite able to connect two 10baseT twisted pair
- receivers back to back via the twisted pairs. The only thing you
- have to do is to connect the receive pair on one side to the
- transmit pair on the other and vice-versa. The transceiver
- contains sufficient logic for CSMA/CD. I made myself a couple of
- RJ-45 cords with aligator clips and keep them in my tool bag for
- convienient hub bypassing.
-
- I know it works becuase I set up a Hughes terminal server with an
- AUI port and 10baseT transciever to do a TFTP boot from an IBM PC
- with an WD-8003 card and 10baseT transciever. I wanted to be able
- to boot the terminal server, but it was for an application that did
- not use an ethernet backbone.
