  16.     The letter at the end of this posting was sent to sun-managers.
  17. It describes a problem encountered with the power supplies on colour
  18. monitors.  The one caveat is that these power supplies are different
  19. from the ones in N.A. (the problem occurred in Europe, 240V)
  20.  
  21. To paraphrase:  when there is an abrupt brightness surge due to the
  22. opening of a large white window the power supply on the monitor may
  23. die.  I assume they had a black background when they opened this
  24. window.  
  25.     My question:  has anyone in N.A. had similar problems?  We
  26. have several of these monitors and we're considering putting them
  27. on a service contract.
