- I have a SS2 with two SCSI adapters (esp0 & esp1).
-
- esp0
- |
- 400MB internal disk
- |
- 8500 Sun exabyte drive
- |
- 1G external disk.
-
- esp1

- 8500 Sun exabyte drive

-
- The problem is when I try to do ``copytape'', ``dd'' or ``tcopy'' from
- one exabyte to the other I get the following messages on my console and
- in the /var/adm/message file:
-
-
- Aug 18 15:37:54 quantum vmunix: esp0: Target 4 now Synchronous at 4.0 mb/s max transmit rate
- Aug 18 15:38:59 quantum vmunix: esp1: Target 4 now Synchronous at 3.572 mb/s max transmit rate
- Aug 18 15:40:59 quantum vmunix: esp0: Target 4 now Synchronous at 4.0 mb/s max transmit rate
- Aug 18 15:42:53 quantum last message repeated 28 times
- Aug 18 15:46:23 quantum vmunix: esp1: Target 4 now Synchronous at 3.572 mb/s max transmit rate
- Aug 18 15:46:31 quantum last message repeated 17 times
-
-
- The above is repeated over and over until the ``command'' is finished.
- The copy to tape seems to be ok but the system comes to it knees during
- the copy.
-
- The problem happens no matter which direction I am copying.
-
- I have no problems if I am writing to both tape drives from differend
- programs.
-
- Any answers to this problems.
-
- Thanks
-
