- Anyone have appropriate parameters for using DUMP with the HP DAT drive? We have
- 60M and 90M tapes. The printed stuff with the drive suggests using default track # and setting
- s=15000 and d=15000 for a full 90M tape (don't ask me how these numbers were arrived at!).
-
- I would be interested in a) something that works for you and b) how you calculate these things.
- I think Thad Floryan posted something like this for QIC tapes but what are tracks on a helical scan
- device anyhow? What is the tape density for this drive? How does dump figure out compression
- that goes on at the drive end of things? etc.
