- I've been having some difficulty getting mail to go through to a site in a
- distant part of the world with a slow link to the US.
-
- Sending mail to a Sun seems to be OK, whereas sending to an Indigo in the same
- organization is less reliable. Mail out sits in the queue for a few days though
- it does eventually get through.
-
- I tried Mail -v to see what was going on. To the Sun, after a few minutes the
- message went through. To the Indigo, each step took a long time, until
- eventually it got stuck for over an hour and timed out. This seems repeatable
- though it doesn't stop in the same place each time.
-
- Should there be anything different about the Indigo that would make it slower
- at receiving mail, or is this more likely to be a network problem? The people
- on the other side seem to be at a loss as to where to look for the problem.
- Any help appreciated
