  34. ||> determined what the real cause of his problem is.  The MAC NetCopy software
  35. ||> [DECnet sold by DEC] is incorrectly identifying the Irix system as a VMS
  36. ||> system.  Because of this, it creates VMS style pathnames for it's file
  37. ||> requests.  The SGI 4DDN product however can't handle VMS pathnames.  It
  38. ||> appears that something in 4DDN changed in the upgrade to 4.0.4.  If Ray had
  39. ||> been using the kiNET DECnet product [openDNA] on the Irix system, he would
  40. ||> not have had this problem.  openDNA supports VMS pathname syntax in addition
