- Hi all,
-
- Periodically I've noticed that "who" will report users still logged in
- even though those users are not and have no processes running. I
- suspect that the problem is that /etc/utmp (or /etc/wtmp) is not
- getting updated correctly when a user logs off.
-
- Is there someway to force an update /etc/utmp or /etc/wtmp to
- accurately reflect current users, short of rebooting the system?
-
- Also, are there any known login accounting problems with IRIX 4.0.5
- and XDM (with MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE security enabled)?
-
- Thanks in advance!
