  23. It works here from various UNIX systems to a VAX 8840 5.4-3 with UCX 1.3A. 
  24. (including crimson 4.0.4, indigo 4.0.2 4.0.4 4.0.1, PI 35 4.0.2, 320 4.0.4)
  25. However, I needed to increase various buffers switching from 1.3 to 1.3A on 
  26. the  UCX side in the UCX$STARTUP and attached scripts. Otherwise the symptoms
  27. were similar as you describe. Check with show comm/mem/cont to see whether
  28. you run out of buffers. Better more than quite enough buffers free, otherwise 
  29. hangups.  At our side, the shortage was appearing because  of X Windows using 
  30. the UCX transport on TCP/IP in addition to many FTP incoming sessions.
