- I have an IBM 5842 modem (2400 baud) attached to an Indigo
- running IRIX 4.0.5 on ttym2. The modem works fine receiving
- calls.
-
- My question is this. I would like to set a status register to
- a new value (S0=5) so it answers on the 5th ring. How can I send
- a simple ASCII command to the modem? I tried the following:
- echo "AT S0=6" > /dev/ttym2
- but nothing happens.
-
- Any suggestions?
-
- Thanks.
