  15. Here is the situation we are in
  16.   A Crimson (4.0.4) with a 1.6Gb + 2 X 1Gb(external) Drives acting as
  17.   a file server.
  18.  
  19.   ~12 PI's running some flavor of 3.3 acting as clients
  20.  
  21. We are using the PIs for compiles and loads (Why we are using the PIs
  22. and not the Crimson or an indigo is a very long story, and I believe
  23. that it can not be resolved until SVR4).

  25. Anyway here is the problem. On random occasions (does not look like it
  26. is related to the load on the server) when our source management 
  27. utilities are looking for source or object files at several different
  28. levels, it fails to find em. You probably can imagine the outcome. I increased
  29. the timeo to 20 from the default 7 they still happen. Looked at nfsstat
  30. no bad calls!!

  32. Has anyone experienced a problem like this??
