- Gack! If I read this correctly, this means that I'll need to keep *two* sets
- of CDs kicking around, one for my R4K Indigos, and one for everything else.
- (And I clearly need/want 4.0.5 for all my systems, since it fixes bugs that
- I've been bitten by. I logged calls to TAC quite some time ago to be put on
- the 4.0.5 distribution list, but no joy yet. Soon?)
-
- And not only will I have to keep track of what's what, but I presume that I'll
- actually have *three* things to deal with: The full 4.0.5D release for the R4K
- Indigo we recently ordered; the 4.0.1=>4.0.5 maintenance release for our PIs and
- R3K Indigos; and a different 4.0.1=>4.0.5 maintenance release for the R3K=>R4K
- Indigo upgrade that we ordered.
-
- Anyway, is there any particular reason that 4.0.5D couldn't have been made to
- support the old hardware, so that a common set of CDs could be used for all our
- systems? When *will* there be a common release that supports both R4K Indigos
- and the older stuff? 4.0.5E? 4.0.6? Any time estimate?
