  25. Yes, you can do the unacceptable: "xhost +" on the X-server.

  27. I ran into this (and reported it) a long time ago.  I have a Bug Report #
  28. around here someplace.  It sure would be nice if someone would at least
  29. properly document the permission/authorization issues with dgl.

  31. It would also be nice if it were fixed (I was told it might be in 4.0.5 but
  32. it wasn't - at least the release notes didn't mention it).

  34. Sorry if this sounds vaguely flamey, but I'm sick of not being able to run
  35. GL programs on the fast machine with no graphics device (without doing an
  36. xhost + and giving the whole universe access to my screen).  I can't use
  37. edge, I can't use gr_osview, I can't....
