- Yes, you can do the unacceptable: "xhost +" on the X-server.

- I ran into this (and reported it) a long time ago. I have a Bug Report #
- around here someplace. It sure would be nice if someone would at least
- properly document the permission/authorization issues with dgl.

- It would also be nice if it were fixed (I was told it might be in 4.0.5 but
- it wasn't - at least the release notes didn't mention it).

- GL programs on the fast machine with no graphics device (without doing an
- xhost + and giving the whole universe access to my screen). I can't use
