- There's a new version (1.9) of 'draw' available via anonymous FTP from
- swedishchef.lerc.nasa.gov in the programs/GL directory.
-
- For those who haven't heard of 'draw', it's a simple structured drawing
- program for SGI machines running IRIX 3.3 or 4.0. It was originally
- written to get familiar with SGI's GL. The code often isn't pretty, but
- it's usually effective. (for reference, I'm _not_ a graphics programmer)
- One advantage to 'draw' over some other programs is that it opens the
- entire screen with no borders. This is handy in combination with screen
- printers. (this is in the default landscape mode, there is also a
- portrait mode in this version)
-
- The distribution includes a hacked version of David Blythe's popup menu
- code. Bugs are most likely mine.
-
- 'draw' isn't Showcase by any stretch of the imagination, but for those
- without Showcase it might be useful. Some people here with Showcase
- still use 'draw' for some applications.
-
- I'd appreciate hearing of any improvements people might make. Also, if
- you make a derivative work I'd appreciate it if you change the email address
- used in the Suggestion Box.
