  13. We have a 4D/340 (with 128 Mb RAM, 512 Mb swap) that is being used as
  14. our central mail machine here on campus.  We are expecting to get 300
  15. concurrent users on the machine (we are around 60 right now).  Does
  16. anyone have this many simultaneous user on a machine like this?  If so
  17. what resource limits did you bump into along the way?  For example, We
  18. had trouble getting over 45 concurrent users initially, because we
  19. were running out of stream event resources (see output of netstat -m).
  20. We bumped up NSTREVENT in the kernel and that got us going again.
  21. Other info about the system that might help: only one serial port in
  22. use (for the console), all users will be logging in over the network
  23. using telnet, rlogin, etc.
