- The idea is that if you have to have modes (and most current pen systems have
- them), "spring-loaded" modes are less obtrusive. It is like a drag with the
- mouse button down, you very rarely get comeback to the computer and find that
- you left it in the wrong mode, because when you take your finger off the
- button, the mode is ended. On the other hand, most of these modes are
- something that needs to be learned mechanical skills (ever watch your
- mother or 3 year old try to learn the drag with mouse button down) and
- could be less obvious than icons on the screen.
