  11. Hello,

  13. I am having problems printing to an HP DeskWriter on a Novell 3.11 network
  14. running NW4Mac 3.011.  Here is the set up:

  16. NetWare 3.11
  17. NW4Mac 3.011
  18. load afp
  19. load atps
  20. atpsfix1
  21. atpsfix2
  22.  
  23. in my atps.cfg file:

  25. -p DeskWriter -o "NUNS DeskWriter" -t DeskWriter -z "Acns Staffnet"
  26.  
  27. Physically,
  28.  
  29. Ethernet network;
  30. DeskWriter is connected via phonenet to a Dayna EtherPrint Plus
  31. which is connected to the rest of the network via thinnet;
  32. I have also a LaserWriter connected the same way.

  34. This is what happens:

  36. If I print directly to either the DeskWriter or the LaserWriter from my mac
  37. it prints without a problem.  
  38.  
  39. If I print to the LaserWriter through the NetWare print queue there is no
  40. problem.  
  41.  
  42. If I print an ascii file from a PC through the NetWare queue to the
  43. DeskWriter, it also prints without a problem.
  44.  
  45. If I print to the DeskWriter from a macintosh through the Netware print
  46. queue ATPS says "Begin job ####" and stops.  My macintosh is from that
  47. point on hung and must be rebooted; it does not come back even after
  48. waiting overnight.

  50. I am without a clue.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
