- I am still dealing with this surge surpressor issue. Every now and
- then we'd get brown outs (around 1700hrs) and my hard disc showed signs
- of death. Anyway, after NeXT immediately replaced my drive (Thanks) the
- hunt for a suppressor was on. I soon learned that there were things called
- line conditioners ( to filter out noise) and line
- regulators. After calling NeXT I was told that the power supply has a
- fuse in it so if the machine gets overloaded the fuse will blow.
- Unfortunately, the fuse can't be changed (so I'm told).
- I concluded that since I would have to buy another power supply anyway
- it might be better for me to invest in a line regulator. Is this true?
