  14. I have just uploaded a demo version of SerialSolutions 2.0
  15. to the archive site at purdue.

  17. It's currently in the submissions directory and named

  19. SerialSolutions2.0Demo.tar.Z

  21. The objects are fully functional, but expire in 10 mins.
  22. Full spec sheets are included.

  24. In a nut shell, we have added quite a few additional methods to the
  25. base Serial object.
  26.  
  27. Added a New Modem subclass that handles "Hayes" style modems (you can define  
  28. your own however).
  29.  
  30. Added a Reader Subclass for talking to barcode and magcard readers. (Source for  
  31. this is included as an example of subclassing the Serial object).
  32.  
  33. Added support for YRRID Inc's TTYDSP drivers, including the non-standard  
  34. baudrate support. (This was announced by YRRID a few weeks ago.)
  35.  
  36. For those of you who missed it.  TTYDSP creates a third high speed serial port  
  37. on the NeXT by using the DSP.
