- A few questions for those of you who are using equation builder:
- 1. When you want to write lim f(x) = f(a), for example, can
- you put the x -> a *under* the "lim" ?
- 2. Does it allow you to place superscripts and subscripts (both)
- on any character?
- 3. How about built-up fractions containing things like integrals
- and derivatives and limits and summations and ...
- 4. Can you paste into WriteNow (the one distributed by NeXT before
- appsoft came along)?
- 5. Assuming cost is not a factor, how does it compare with something
- like "Create" for constructing technical documents, papers, texts, etc.
- 6. Will the "new" version of WriteNow allow for overstrike, so
- you can place superscripts and subscripts on the same character?
- 7. Can you copy one of your EquationBuilder creations from the document
- you pasted into, and then put if back into EquationBuilder to modify it?
-
- For a while now, I have been using the old Draw from the Demo folder to
- do things like make systems of pde's or built up fractions, summations,
- etc. Also to modify things like Mathematica plots (adding text,
- shrinking, etc.) and then just pasting into WriteNow. The main problem
- with this is that you must save all such items with Draw because once
- you paste them into the document, you have no way to modify it later
- (you can copy it from the doc all right, but when you paste back into
- Draw, you can't do anything with it).
-
- Users comments very welcome.
