- Just a reminder to people who have read Jeff Nicholson-Owens' question,
- my reply and his reply: If you're looking for a word processor that does
- tables, and more, Word 5 for the Macintosh will run under Executor and
- is a viable alternative to WriteNow! and WordPerfect.
-
- Although Word5/Executor doesn't provide what *Jeff* was looking for, the
- combination does provide more than WriteNow! and WordPerfect supplies.
-
- So again, if your question is:
-
- "From what I gather WriteNow! and WordPerfect don't do tables at all.
- The latest NeXTWORLD has a preview of PasteUp and says that it too
- doesn't do tables either. Is there anything other than
- FrameMaker(even coming up) that will do tables? How about Pages?"
-
- The answer most empathically is yes; Word 5 under Executor will do tables.
- It may not be the solution for Jeff, but it is the solution for many people.
- Remember, neither WriteNow!, nor WordPerfect, nor Frame were written with
- the NeXT in mind. Word competes nicely.
-
- NOTE: As the founder of ARDI, I'm biased. Except for announcing new
- releases (keep your eye out), I generally don't use comp.sys.next.* to
- plug our product, but when asked, I will point out that it's there.
