  20. 3.x is supposed to be _binary_ compatible with 2.x programs, but as with
  21. 1.x->2.x won't be source code compatible.  This means that apps which you
  22. don't have the source too are OK, but anything that you're gonna be
  23. recompiling might end up needing to be changed.

  25. This sorta forces developers to keep up to date, but allows users to run their
  26. same old proggies...
