- Hi Netters,
-
- I have a color turbo station w/ 16Mb RAM. I am trying to determine
- how much memory is being used by my everyday use. The system boots
- w/ ~20Mb swapfile and if I perform any memory intensive tasks it will
- increase up to ~60Mb (the largest I've seen yet). This is simply un-
- acceptable since not only do I need my disk space, but I would like
- my system to run w/o so much disk i/o. I am considering a memory
- upgrade and assume that the size of the upgrade has a direct effect
- on the size of the swapfile (no?). But, more over, how much RAM is
- being used by the system itself? Since swapfile starts ~20Mb, can
- I safely assume that it needs 36Mb just to run?
