  14. The below file is the README included with the Archive0.7 package, which
  15. I just submitted to sonata.cc.purdue.edu in /pub/next/submissions.

  19. The Archive app will show .Z, .tar, .lha, .lzh, and .zip file icons, and  
  20. will launch when one of these is double-clicked from the workspace,  
  21. uncompressing/unarchiving them.  The "Help" from within the app has more
  22. details.

  24. To install, just copy the binary to /NextApps or /LocalApps or ~/Local or  
  25. anywhere in your path, then logout/login.

  27. Only the binary is required, all other files can be removed if desired.

  29. Warning:  I had modified the Makefile and .iconheader files to allow for
  30. more than 3 file extensions for this app.  I asked  
  31. comp.sys.next.programming for a more convenient way of doing this, and got  
  32. no response.  So if you save from the interface builder, you may need to  
  33. modify these files.

  35. The app assumes that the unix utilities compress, lha, tar, zip, and unzip
  36. exist.  If any of these are missing, it will not interfere with the  
  37. programs ability to archive/extract from the other formats.

  39. This is version 0.7, and will only extract from archives.
