- I work on the 17" color monitor every day. It works for me with NeXTSTEP and
- X-windows in color! It looks even better under NeXTSTEP 3.0. Sure there is a
- difference between the 17" and 21" monitors and they are not Sony but they are
- not unuseable. The monitor issue is an old topic here. The consensus is that
- the 21" is better than the 17" and NeXT needs to pay better attention to the
- issue of color monitors. There is no need to advise someone to purchase a
- non-NeXT system because the monitors do not live up to your expectations of
- perfection. The NeXT color system is liveable but not flawless. The choices
- are to buy a 17", 21", or a third party monitor.
-
- I've seen the 17" and the 21" monitor. I like and recommend the 21" monitor if
- people have the extra $1000 or more to spend other wise the 17" monitor will
- get the job done. Third party monitors would work if you can find a vendor who
- supports the NeXT.
