- I would like to download Mac software to my NeXT cube, and then
- transfer it to my Mac (either via DOS, directly from Mac floppies
- when 3.0 comes out, FloppyWorks, etc...).
-
- The Mac has this thing called MacBinary ( keeps track of file creator and
- type and the data in a separate part). If I use binary to d/l to the
- NeXT and then move the files over to the Mac then I have to change
- the type/creator using MacTools or whatever. This almost never works in
- that .sit or .sea or .cpt files end up being corrupted. It only works
- with .hqx (which are text files within which you find the archive).
-
- Does anyone know how to do this? Or even better, is there a program to
- massage the files on the NeXT before moving them to the Mac. One of
- the problems seems to be CR's and LF's. Confusing. Going the other way
- is fine (Mac->NeXT).
-
- Any clues would be much appreciated.
