- Hello? Several NeXT employees distinctly stated that several
- features were being pushed back to the 3.1 release at NeXTworld
- Expo. Cross compilation and fat binaries for example. And NeXT
- traditionally releases new software to support new hardware
- (ostensibly the reason for 2.1 as well as the only reason for 2.2
- and 1.0a)... does this mean that the NRW is completely supported
- by 3.0? Or that it won't be out until 4.0 (a minimum of 18
- months away unless they change plans radically).

- On the other hand, I don't expect 3.1 to be necessary for bug
- fixes given the extensive testing. 3.0 won't be bug-free,
- neither is 2.1, but it should be MUCH better than your
- traditional x.0 release from what I've seen.
