  13. Are Squash's file formats (and compression algorithms) publicly known?
  14. Is there a way to unSquash files from the command line?
  15. Is there an unSquasher that runs on anything other than a 680x0 NeXT?

  17. tar & compress pass those criteria.  So do many other compression
  18. and archiving utilities.

  20. Trusting one's data to a proprietary (and unique) scheme strikes
  21. me as incredibly foolish.  Using it for software distribution is
  22. questionable at best.
