  12. I just bought a HP DeskJet 500 and made my cable to connect it to the
  13. serial port. I also have the driver DeskJet_2.03. I did everything 
  14. according to the README file but the printer just does not print.
  15. DeskJet self test print a sample of 3 pages as expected. So the printer is
  16. fine ( I think). When I try to "cat" something to the printer. The print
  17. queue is updated but nothing comes out from the printer. Once in a while,
  18. the printer prints "getstatusdict/??????" on the first line.
  19. Anybody encountered the same problem? Any help will be appreciated.
