  11. I'm interested in alternatives to the NeXT CD-ROM drive for multimedia
  12. applications.  The NEC CDR-74 looks attractive, but I remember reading
  13. postings about the NEC CDR-73 and its incompatibility with the NeXT
  14. driver.  Does anybody know if this problem has been fixed with the NEC
  15. CDR-74 (which I am assuming is a next generation CDR-73)?  Can anyone
  16. recommend a compatible (tried and tested) CD-ROM drive that has better
  17. performance than the NeXT drive?
