- We have a problem with our MIPS box 3240. After a power outage, the
- machine refuses to identify its name and can not start any network daemons.
- We removed the local_hostname file and rebooted the machine. But the script
- (sysetup) did not prompt for hostname and IP address. If we set the host
- name either in single user mode OR before starting network daemons, the
- machine works OK. We get this disk error " FREE BLK COUNT(S) WRONG IN
- SUPERBLK
- SALVAGE (y)"
-
- I appreciate any suggestions and ideas to get over this problem.
-
- Thanks
