- There's a Novell Netware server that I have to copy files to periodically.
- Naturally the folder they want the information posted to is like four
- levels into the server. So naturally I'd like to create an alias to that
- folder.
- Unfortunately, I don't have write access in the level the folder I need to
- copy
- stuff into sits, so the finder won't let me create an alias to that folder.
-
- I've tried all the various alias tools at sumex and none of them seem to do
- what I'd like them to do.
- .
- Is there a workaround for this kind of situation? Can you create an alias
- to any old file and then hack the pathname inside the alias file? Does
- anyone know what exactly is inside an alias file?
