  30. I had AppleTalk RemoteAccess running under system 7.0. Whenever I tried to
  31. shut my Mac (SE) down without the modem turned on, the Mac won`t shut down.
  32. It stopped after closing all files (except for some RemoteAccess stuff),
  33. but as soon as I turned the modem on, it shut down completely...

  35. Now that I removed RemoteAccess, the problem is gone.
