  13. I am interested in gathering opinions of those currently producing applications
  14. for the Macintosh platform on the following questions.

  16. 1) If a product does not work under the Japanese operating system (KanjiTalk -
  17. KT) how difficult is it to adapt the product so that it is 100% compatible? I
  18. realize this will vary with the purpose of the application; I am interested in
  19. all aspects. I am also interested in any all references available on the
  20. process of localizing a product to the Japanese market (or any Asian market).

  22. 2) Is compatibility with KT the most significant problem in approaching the
  23. Japanese market? If it is not, what is?
  24.  
  25. 3) If approached by a Japanese company with the proposition that they could
  26. successfully market your product in Japan and would like an exclusion marketing
  27. agreement to do so, what reservations, fears, or problems do you think would be
  28. most significant in closing such a deal? If the company was represented by an
  29. American how would that affect your decision?
