- Appearantly (this is just a guess, but rather likely) your friend's
- installer failed to ad DA Handler, or the copy there is corrupt...perhaps he
- used the minimal installation, and has an old multifinder already there...?
- Anyway, the reason for this is that under Multifinder DAs no longer cling
- to the current application, depending on it for memory and essential
- functions...DAs are like applications WITh all the basic APPL functions
- missing...because under Multifinder the application the DA might be relating to
- is going to change periodically. So they have DA Handler, which has all the
- usual APPL functions built into it...and if that's not installed then
- Multifinder hasn't the foggiest idea what to do with the DAs...
