- The machine: a Mac II that had the ROM upgraded when a Superdirve was installed.
-
- The system 7.0.1, with NO Control Devices and NO extensions (though at first
- there were many).
-
- The symptoms: upon startup, many, but not all, icons are missing. Everthing
- still works, but,e.g., MacMoney docs are dogeared blank pages. NCSA Telnet
- icon is that of a generic app.
-
- I restart and rebuild the desktop. All is fine. But if I restart again
- without holding down opt-cmd keys, icons are lost. REbuilding again
- restores. Another restart without rebuilding and many are lost.
- Ideas?
-
- Thanks....john Cary
