- At Ease has the potential to be a terrific security solution for the
- Mac, but it does have two holes that could stand to be fixed.

- 1) There is currently no way to prevent a user from getting around it
- by booting from a floppy. This can be a serious problem if you are
- protecting the drive from more experienced users.

- 2) The write-protection is an all-or-nothing form of protection.
- There is no way to define specific folders to which a user would have
- write privileges; either they can write to the disk or they can't.

- I realize that the original purpose of At Ease is to prevent damage
- caused by inexperienced users, but in many lab situations it's the
- more experienced users that cause the real damage to a machine's
- setup.
