  11. I hope this is an easy one for someone to answer, but I have a Mac IIci 
  12. with 8mb of memory that will not let me print in the background.  I
  13. essentially get this message.  I've tried everything -- does anyone have
  14. any suggestions or places to look for this problem.  The System file itself
  15. hasn't changed since the Installer put System 7.0 on the machine.  I am
  16. running with the Tuner 1.1.1.  Here's the message:

  18. Your document will be printed in the background when
  19. more memory is available.

  21. You can try printing now instead but you
  22. will not be able to continue working until
  23. printing is finished.

  25. By the way, "About this MacIntosh" shows more than 5MB available.  This worked
  26. up until a day or two ago -- I don't know what happened to break our ability
  27. to print in the background. Thanks in advance.
