- I bought CPU at the Boston show and have been quite pleased with it.

- CPU shows you percent charge left and estimated time left. The manual
- says CPU is smart and as it learns your battery's power curve, gets
- better at this time estimate. It also distinguishes between when your
- PB is plugged in and charging and when it's just plugged in.
-
- It'll save you battery life as well because you can tell it to turn
- down the screen brightness after x amount of time, as well as resting,
- spinning down the drive, and sleeping.

-
- CPU has a spin down hot key, and a preference to NOT spin down the hard
- disk when you restart, but that's all in this regard. It also has a
- spin up cursor so you know why your PB suddenly stopped doing stuff.
-
- CPU has tons of other features (menu and dialog selection via keyboard,
- graphic or password security, LCD screen saver, the ability to create
- different sets of all these features for different environments (home,
- office, work, travel, etc.)) and I've been quite happy with it. It's
- enabled me to chuck several other sys extensions and given me some
- capabilities I didn't have. There are at least two other competing PB
- utility packages that offer other features but CPU's advantage was that
- it's shipping now.
-
- Hope it helps.
