- I am interfacing a piece of hardware to the MAC via the serial
- port. The hardware communicates back to the computer via the GPi line.

- According the the documentation in the Hardware Technical reference manual
- this line is connected to Data Carrier Detect (DCD) and can be polled with
- software. However, I can not find the method of polling this field in any
- of the documentation or the header files which define the serial status
- information.

- Has anyone done this? A simple description or sample code would
- be greatly appreciated!
