  10.     I am interfacing a piece of hardware to the MAC via the serial
  11. port.  The hardware communicates back to the computer via the GPi line.

  13. According the the documentation in the Hardware Technical reference manual
  14. this line is connected to Data Carrier Detect (DCD) and can be polled with
  15. software.  However, I can not find the method of polling this field in any
  16. of the documentation or the header files which define the serial status
  17. information.

  19.     Has anyone done this?  A simple description or sample code would
  20. be greatly appreciated!
