- Hi all,
-
- Somehow I've gotten my PowerBook in a state such that I cannot rename the
- hard disk's volume. (This is similar to the way that you cannot rename
- the Trash.) Anyone have any ideas on how this could have happened.
-
- I've been poking around with the tools I have, but things like ResEdit,
- MacTools, and FileKit don't really let you browse a volume the way they
- let you browse a file or directory. Interestingly enough, the Balloon
- Help for the volume's icon knows enough to tell me that I "Cannot edit
- the name of the icon".
-
- Please reply to me directly and I will summarize the results to the newgroup.
-
- Thanks,
- Bruce Schwartz
