  14. Somehow I've gotten my PowerBook in a state such that I cannot rename the
  15. hard disk's volume.  (This is similar to the way that you cannot rename
  16. the Trash.)  Anyone have any ideas on how this could have happened.

  18. I've been poking around with the tools I have, but things like ResEdit,
  19. MacTools, and FileKit don't really let you browse a volume the way they
  20. let you browse a file or directory.  Interestingly enough, the Balloon
  21. Help for the volume's icon knows enough to tell me that I "Cannot edit
  22. the name of the icon".
