- In case you've been putting off upgrading Macintosh QuickBASIC to the
- latest System 7-compatible version, I just called their BASIC
- "setup/install answer line": (206) 646-5101.

- The Microsoft representative immediately offered to send me the
- upgrade, no questions asked.

- I haven't gotten it yet, but I hear that other than System 7
- compatibility it doesn't have much new. Also, the guy I spoke with
- said he didn't know of any future upgrades with new features,
- confirming my impression that Microsoft has abandoned QuickBASIC on
- the Mac. That's a shame, because if they beefed it up a little and/or
- gave it a Visual BASIC metaphor, it could be pretty useful to those of
- us who loathe digging around the Toolbox...
