  19. While I haven't seen this on Quadras, I have seen it on LC's.  To wit,
  20. calls to SndPlay from bg apps frequently cause MS apps to die.  Even
  21. notification manager sounds can kill MS apps on LC's, should an application
  22. have the temerity to try to take the user's attention away from a
  23. Gates baby. F-line errors are the crash of choice.

  25. Your problem may or may not be related to this; but it sounds
  26. suspiciously similar to me.  Try WriteNow or Nisus or WordPerfect for a
  27. while, and see if the problem disappears.
