  12.    Ok, here's the deal, we turned off our appletalk network server last spring,
  13. and now when we brought it up again, the hard drive was missing! Not really, but neither mactools or norton utils recognizes that there _is_ a HD.  we have
  14. an old SE, and the HD light goes on, but other than that, nothing.  THe only 
  15. success we have had is that Silverlining admits there is a problem, and tells
  16. us we can format it again, but I really don't want to do that.  (actually,
  17. we tried formatting it with silverlining, but the format failed!).
  18.    So now, I'm looking for any other suggestions on how to recover the HD,
  19. or just to be able to format (initialize) it again and start over.
  20.
