- The first Newton is being developed jointly by Apple and Sharp. Both
- companies will probably market it under their respective labels, but
- it will be basically the same machine. Apple is also working with
- Toshiba to develop the multimedia Newton which, again, will be marketed
- by both companies under their own labels. I haven't heard anything
- about Sony's PDA plans (if any), but it would be great if they could
- integrate their Data Discman with a Newton PDA.
