- Well, zapping P-RAM seems to have gotten much more complicated under System 7.
- Thanks to walkere@cs.rpi.edu (Ellen Walker), jim@jagubox.gsfc.nasa.gov (Jim
- Jagielski), hrose@eff.org (Helen Trillian Rose),
- mlw@iscnvx.lmsc.lockheed.com (Martha L. Wilson), and
- lloyd@janus.jhuapl.edu (Lloyd Taylor) for writing. On my Mac IIci, at
- any rate, no dialog box appears; holding down command-option-p-r RIGHT
- AFTER restarting the Mac caused it to pause for a second and reboot
- again, as Helen Rose and Lloyd Taylor pointed out. However, the
- timing seems to be important; 4 out of 5 tries resulted in a normal
- boot-up procedure and a dialog box about rebuilding the desktop. Oh,
- well.
-
- Thanks again,
- -nhy
