- The latest issue of Murph's VAPORWARE column notes that a
- possible "multimedia ready" (aren't all macs?) followup
- to the fx might be released this fall using a programmable
- coprocessor chip from International Meta Systems. An earlier
- issue says that this "chip and tools" perform at 70 MIPS.

- Anyone know anything about IMS, or their relationship with
- Apple? What about the coprocessor: why would apple choose this
- guy over more general devices?
