  11. The latest issue of Murph's VAPORWARE column notes that a
  12. possible "multimedia ready" (aren't all macs?) followup
  13. to the fx might be released this fall using a programmable
  14. coprocessor chip from International Meta Systems. An earlier
  15. issue says that this "chip and tools" perform at 70 MIPS.

  17. Anyone know anything about IMS, or their relationship with
  18. Apple?  What about the coprocessor: why would apple choose this
  19. guy over more general devices?
