- Hold down Command-Option-P-R right after your last extension pops up.
- Hold the keys until a dialog appears asking if you really want to do that.
- Parameter RAM holds certain information the System uses, like printer and
- port information, key repeat rates, speaker volume, etc. Zapping it simply
- resets all of this.
- If you have a weird bug you can't track down, zap your PRAM.
- BTW, if you need to rebuild your desktop and don't feel like rebooting,
- type Command-Option-Escape and click the Force Quit button. (Make sure you
- don't have anything important running in the background.) Oh, do this while
- in the Finder. Then hold down Command-Option. You can also quit the Finder
- if you need some extra memory.
